2018 Mobile Photography Contest & Exhibition
The Mobile Photography Contest & Exhibition is back for its fourth rendition, challenging Appleton members and the community to send in mobile photos inspired by three different categories. Entries will be juried, printed, and on view at the Appleton from June 19-October 7.
Contest Info and Guidelines
–All ages are welcome to participate.
–Photos must be taken with a mobile device (cell phone, iPad, etc.)
–Only two entries per person, per category will be accepted.
–Photos must be submitted during each category's date range (see below)
–Photos must be sent via email. Entries submitted by mail, or through Facebook or other social media, will not be accepted.
–Photos must be representative of the category.
–Photos must be tasteful in content.
–Please note, for ease of printing, all photos will be cropped to 4 x 4 or 4 x 6 in. It is best to send as a square or 4 x 5 in.
–Entries will be juried based on creativity, quality, responsiveness to the prompt and overall impact.
How to Enter
–Email square or 4 x 5 in. (portrait or landscape) photos to AppletonMuseum@cf.edu.
–Include the category in the subject line of the email.
–Include your full name in the body of the email (if you do not include your name, your photos will not be accepted)
–If there is an issue with the file, we will contact you. If we do not get a response or a replacement photo, your entry will not be accepted.
Reception and Awards
Tuesday, June 19, 5-7 p.m.
Free and open to the public; awards will be announced at 6 p.m. Award winners will be notified in advance.
June 19-October 7
Entries will be printed and on view at the Appleton. Regular admission fees apply, other than during the reception on June 19, 5-7 p.m. which is free to attend.
Travel & Adventure
Locales, peoples or activities in the U.S. and abroad that convey a sense of place and the spirit of adventure.

Black & White
Use a filter or adjust your mobile phone settings to create a black and white image — from still-life, to landscapes, to architecture, to people and animals — the possibilities are endless!

–The Appleton may use photos for highlight on its website or social media.
–The Appleton may omit entries deemed inappropriate for public viewing or display.
