Themed Tours


Once a month the Appleton provides Themed Tours of the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions, led by special guests or docents. Themed Tours are generally scheduled at 2 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month.

A Close Look Into the Mysteries of the Amazon

Take an in-depth look at Mysteries of the Amazon with exhibition curator Scott Olsen, Ph.D., who will share insight on the building of his collection and the meaning behind the vivid and detailed works of art.

How to Look at a Painting...Really!

Paintings are to be experienced, explored and revisited over time. What does it take to truly know what you are seeing when you look at a work of art? Enrich your viewing experiences and explore the practical skill of looking at art.

December 28, 2 p.m.
Outdoor Sculpture at the Appleton
(Docent: Kate Weingart)
Walk the grounds with us and enjoy a tour of the outdoor sculptures.


BECOME A DOCENT
